The Shildon People’s Centre is now run by volunteers, however we are grateful for the support and input of many organisations. These include Durham County Council, Shildon Town Council, CAVOS, Durham County Council Education in the Community, and Sedgefield Borough Council Local Improvement Program.
In particular, we thank those who have made donations to the running of the Centre, to date we have received £1100 in private donations.
We have received a Start-up grant from Durham County Council (£3000) and a donation from the County Council members imitative fund (Cllr. Chapman £500).
The Centre is also partly funded by Shildon Town Council, who have recently agreed to support our work until at least March 2012.
We are now a registered charity, our registration number is 1121350
